Help for British Nationals
The Consular Section is responsible for looking after the interests of British citizens visiting or living in Jamaica and the Bahamas.
This includes providing the service of issuing British passports.
As a general principle, we aim to attend to all Consular visitors to the British High Commission within ten minutes of their arrival or offer an appointment for a later time.
There is no resident British diplomatic mission in The Bahamas, however, there is an Honorary Consul.
In the event of a genuine Consular emergency in The Bahamas please telephone +1(242) 357 9005 or +1 (242) 357 9006.
Please note that these numbers should not be used for passport or visa queries.
Please note any visa enquiries to our Consular Section by telephone, or email will not be forwarded to the Visa Section.
All visa enquiries by email will be deleted on receipt.
Visa customers should visit the Worldbridge Visa Application Website at www.visainfoservices.com for further information.
