Recycled teenagers launched at High Commission in Kingston

Recycled Teenagers

The Carl Campbell Dance Company 7 (CCDC7), which is one of the Uk's leading professional contemporary caribbean dance companies, based in Southwark London, ten years ago established the Recycled Teenagers Dance project for older people in the UK.

The group currently has a membership of over 100 and takes part in festivals and events, including national TV appearances. The majority of the members are from the Caribbean including Jamaica.

The CCDC7 with support from Jamaica National Council for Senior Citizens, the Edna Manley School of Dance, Eltham High School, Tivoli Gardens Comprehensive Dance Troupe and the CHASE Fund has developed a programme in Jamaica. The programme was launched in Jamaica on 24 February 2009 at the British High Commission in Kingston.
